Saturdays are open to the public 11am -5pm ( Nov 7th to Dec 19th 2020 )

Custom Orders

You are custom made so your clothes should be too!

 

A custom garment can be something as simple as an alteration to an existing style or something as elaborate as a one-off show stopping catsuit and cape ensemble. Bringing 25 years of industry experience, I work with you to make your dream garment come to life.

 

What Customs do you make?

 

From sparkling jump-suits to everyday pencil skirts. I draw from a delicious and wildly varied catalogue of established Edgeley designs and customise accordingly. For inspiration have a look at the custom made gallery here and also the archive of all my previous collections.

 

Sizing?

 

We do not use standard sizing for customs, instead I’ll use your unique measurements – so it fits perfectly, to your body! Book in for a fitting in the shop and I’ll take your measurements. I also offer virtual consultations where I can guide you through accurately measuring yourself.

 

How do I order?

 

Book in for a consultation, either in real life, at the Gertrude street boutique or via a virtual/video call. Book in by contacting us via info@edgeley.com.au.

What’s The Process?

 

It usually takes between 3-5 weeks to make and deliver a custom garment but I always try to make allowances for fashion emergencies.

 

Face to face consultation

  • Consultation appointment is made
  • Consultation walking you through sizing, design, fabric, colour options and prices.
  • Emailed quote and detailed design we’ve decided on
  • Order confirmed, deposit made
  • Your special custom made item is created
  • Your order is ready to try, we make a 1/2 hr. appointment for a fitting.
  • If you need any small alterations these can often be done on the spot and your new outfit is ready to go!

 

Virtual consultation

  • Video call is booked in.
  • Video consultation walking you through sizing, design, fabric, colour options and prices.
  • Emailed quote and detailed design we’ve decided on
  • Order confirmed, deposit made
  • Your special custom made item is created
  • Your order is ready to ship, you are notified with tracking details.
  • If you need any alterations we book another video consultation, post the garment back for alterations to be made.

The Money Part?

 

Each piece is unique and each price is unique. I work out the cost based on fabrics, designs and time. A 50% deposit is required to get started and the balance on completion. Custom made orders are non-refundable.

Measurement Guide

 

BUST: Take measurement of the fullest part of your bust.

WAIST: Measure around the narrowest part of your waistline.

HIPS: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.

 

Please note we can make to measure, so please get in touch if you have an enquiry. If you’d like a custom size we can make, for example, a size 8 top and 12 around the waist and hips, accommodating sizes 6 to 22. Most garments have a ‘Custom Size’ option in the size menu. We can use the measurements you provide, use your measurements on file (if we’ve made you something custom before we keep all the records) or arrange for a video fitting where I can guide you through accurate measuring.

Orders & Returns

Edgeley Returns Policy

 

You can return any order for a full refund (not including custom made) within 14 days after the date you received your order. It must be unworn and in its original condition. Get in touch for return shipping details. It’s a simple process to return/refund or to make a replacement order for a different size, colour or item. Items which have been altered to fit the client, or made to order are non-refundable.

Ordering

 

*Covid update. All orders are currently ‘made to order’. Each order takes between 3 to 4 weeks to be made and shipped. Made to order items are determined case by case but please allow at the very least 3 weeks from payment clearing. Most made to order items take up to 6 weeks to complete. Each one is crafted with care and the utmost attention to detail, which cannot be hurried.

Customs Fees And Import Restrictions

 

Some countries place restrictions on goods imported or charge customs duties or import fees. It is the responsibility of the customer to research these fees and/or restrictions that are applicable and pay the incurred charges. We send all parcels through Australia Post and suggest that you check your country in the first instance at www.auspost.com.au. We also recommend contacting your local government body prior to ordering. e.g. customs & excise.

Missing Parcels

 

If your parcel hasn’t arrived at it’s destination in the timeframe expected, please call Australia Post on 13 13 18 and quote the tracking number from your shipping confirmation email. Alternatively, you can check online. We also recommend visiting your local Post Office or Mail Centre to see if they are holding it for you.

Insurance Claims

 

UNDELIVERED PARCELS: All insurance claims are between Alice Edgeley and Australia Post. We will arrange for the insurance payment to be paid to your or we will replace your order if it is still available.

 

DELIVERED PARCELS: Insurance claims are between the customer and Australia Post. If you need to make a claim and need assistance in this process, please email us at sales@edgeley.com.au

Returns

 

Shipping costs are non-refundable on returns.
