JANE MOSH-TEN- The “Toile de Jouy” (meaning “cloth from the town of Jouy-en-Josas” in France) is traditionally used for dresses, furnishings and wall paper. It was popular in the late 18th century and has a very French / English country manor vibe. I created a modern stretch mesh dress with this drawstring neck-line tied with velvet ribbon. To me it feels a bit Jane Austen meets 90s club wear.
